A Treasury of Science is a mixed media artwork presented as three elements, namely a dry-point print, an altered book, and an artist's book.
The artwork name is taken from that of the altered book itself, which was broken down, pulped and then pressed into a dense tombstone-like block.
The theme of memorial is carried through the three pieces with the dry-point print standing as an epitaph, the altered book its own tombstone, and the artist’s book a catalogue of sorts which documents the history of A Treasury of Science, the process taken to transform it and a discursive essay questioning whether books remain books when repurposed or altered in this manner.
